Minuccia Prada is graduate in physical sciences, and on 1945 earned the title of Doctor of Philosophy in the same discipline. In the same year inherited from the mother the management of company of her family, even if, in the same time, Miuccia showed many other interests as mime: she began to recite in the little Theatre in her hometown.
On 1985 Miuccia began to draw a collection of green bags, without label, on fine nylon that soon became required in all over the world, and many models and journalists considered the bags as a spearhead of accessories for women.
On 1980 she presented her first prêt-à-porter autumn-winter collection in Milan: her style, that was based on chromatic contrast white-black, was the beginning of Prada success.
On 1992 the brand Miu-Miu was born, cheaper and less exclusive, and since then each year Prada regularly presents twice new collections in Milan.
Miuccia was married with Patrizio Bertelli from the end of Seventies years and with his help she began her carrier in entrepreneurship, doing slowly of Prada a world colossus that can be a rival of LVMH group and acquiring labels like Helmut Lang, Jil Sander and Azzedine Alaia.
Thanks to her creative genius and her collections, Miuccia Prada has been awarded with Internation Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1993, Wall
